Ways to Give

Families are never billed for services at Children’s Center. Medical insurance and government grants account for approximately 60% of our funding. The remaining costs associated with medically assessing and supporting who are suspected victims of child abuse and neglect are covered by generous donors. For charitable giving information or to learn how you can partner with Children’s Center, contact Kristin Szafraniec, Development Director, at 503-655-7725 x203 or via email at kristins@childrenscenter.cc.

Children’s Center is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization – our tax ID number is #75-3027143.

Monthly Champions

Monthly Champions provide reliable, steady income, which allows us to focus on our mission, plan for the future, and spend our resources wisely. Use our online giving page to make a monthly gift with your debit or credit card, or download the monthly giving enrollment form below to make your gift via an electronic funds transfer from your bank account.

Stocks and Securities

Contributions of appreciated stock or securities can make a big impact on the kids who visit Children’s Center, while resulting in significant tax savings for you. The current full value of the gift can generally be deducted, and the capital gains tax on the amount of appreciation is avoided. Please kindly alert Development Director Kristin Szafraniec when making your gift of stock so that your gift is properly acknowledged and receipted.

Matching Gifts

Many companies offer matching gift programs that will double, even triple a donation’s value. If you have questions about your company’s matching gift program, please contact your Human Resources office.

Tribute Gifts

Use our secure online giving page to honor a loved one with a Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, sympathy, birthday, or anniversary gift by making a tribute donation today. All memorial and honorary gifts are acknowledged, and the amount of the gift will remain confidential.

Planned Giving

Planned gifts help you meet your current philanthropic goals and extend your generosity well into the future. You can make a significant impact through a gift that costs nothing in your lifetime and might take a form far more meaningful than you ever thought possible.

Bequests – Bequests may be made by will or living trust and may be for a specific dollar amount, a percentage of the total estate, or the residual amount remaining after all specific expense and other bequests have been paid.
Life Insurance – Life Insurance can be an excellent gift because of changes that have occurred in a person’s life. A donor can name Children’s Center as the owner and beneficiary of a funded life insurance policy.
Retirement Plan Assets – Retirement Plan Assets, including IRAs, 401(k), and other plans can be transferred by adding Children’s Center as either a primary or contingent beneficiary of the account. Gifting retirement assets to charity is a tax efficient way to make a gift.
