Spotlight on Gala Sponsors: Elva Tokarski & Wilson Construction

Children’s Center is grateful to have incredible event sponsors who are making the 2021 virtual Healing Garden Gala possible.

We’ve already featured our Presenting Sponsor, Ted Davis of Airstream Adventures, in a recent blog post. (Click here in case you missed it!)

Today, we are excited to shine the spotlight on two more of our sponsors: Elva Tokarski and Wilson Construction!

Platinum Sponsor: Elva Tokarski

Elva Tokarski has been investing in Children’s Center since 2009; often through the Healing Garden Gala.

After moving to Clackamas County from the Salem area, Elva was looking for a local organization to get involved with. She reached out to Children’s Center, took a tour and has been committed to Children’s Center ever since.

Before Elva and her husband Larry began spending the winters in California, she served on our annual fundraising luncheon and gala committees. She shares our vision for a child-friendly environment and strongly supported the capital campaign for our beautiful facility. Elva is also an accomplished weaver and has donated many hand-woven items to our auctions over the years.

In addition to her generous sponsorship this year, Elva is offering a matching gift of $30,000. All donors who give between $100 and $1,000 at this year’s Healing Garden Gala will find their gifts matched dollar for dollar to maximize their donation!

Children’s Center is grateful for Elva for her generous and impactful support!

Gold Sponsor: Wilson Construction

Wilson Construction owners, Don and Kim Wilson, believe that giving back is important, in fact, they consider it so important that they run a 1:1 matching program with their employees to motivate them to donate as well.

Employees donate in specified fall months, then Wilson Construction matches those gifts, dispersing the funds to five area non-profits, including Children’s Center. In 2020 they added Healing Garden Gala Sponsorship to their support of the Center and are a Gold Sponsor this year.

Wilson Construction specializes in the design and construction of electric utility infrastructure. With headquarters in Canby, they also have offices in Woodburn, Spokane WA, Sacramento and Corona CA, and Phoenix AZ.

They provide utility infrastructure construction all over the United States, hiring Union (IBEW) journeymen and apprentices, providing environmental compliance management, and constructing both above and beneath the ground.

Thanks so much to Don and Kim whose generosity also encourages others to give not only to Children’s Center but to our community.
